Telling GCash's journey through milestones was integral to our storytelling. The “Wallet na ang cellphone mo!” ad featuring father-and-son duo Gary and Paolo Valenciano became the starting point of our story. What artist now matches the pure energy and charisma of that unstoppable duo?
Enter “Kings of P-Pop” SB19. With more than 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, 4.21M subscribers on YouTube, and a world tour, we knew this talented group embodied main character energy. And that a Gary V and SB19 collab had to happen on the GCash 20th Anniversary stage.
True enough, the "Gento" performance became one of the night’s biggest viral moments. The unexpected, cross-generational performance created major buzz across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Then and now fans of these artists were so amazed that they turned the stage into a highly shared cultural moment that lived far beyond the gala night itself.
To match the electrifying energy of the night, the program needed a powerhouse performance to move the crowd. So GCash brought together "Asia’s Phoenix" Morissette, iconic OPM legend Bituin Escalante, and SB19’s Stell. Their collaboration was a rare generational blend of exceptional artistry. Soaring renditions of empowering anthems like "Rise Up," "This Is Me," and "Defying Gravity" turned the stage into a musical celebration of GCash’s journey and impact.
This birthday gala couldn't end without raising the bar with one last grand scale of a treat--a finale with the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra led by Maestro Louie Ocampo. Elevated on the stage, the orchestra performed a cinematic experience, weaving together 20 years of stories through sweeping orchestral arrangements. Under Ocampo’s direction, every performance seamlessly built toward a powerful, unified crescendo. The celebration ended on a deeply moving, high-impact note that honored both GCash’s legacy and its future.
